Life at Brunswick Pointe: A Resident's Perspective
December 30, 2019My wife, Pat, and I took our tour through Brunswick Pointe two years ago with our two children. The place was brand new, with just a few employees. Boy, this place has grown since then - from only two residents to 90 residents.
It was an easy decision to make since my health was failing and I felt the staff at Brunswick Pointe could do the job of taking care of my wife.
This building is beautiful and clean. The rooms are big, private, and you can decorate however you would like to make your room feel more like home. I can come and go as I please to visit my wife and get to enjoy lunch with her almost every day. Pat was the first long term resident to move into Brunswick Pointe. The staff has done everything they can to make her feel at home. Best of all, the food is great! They asked Pat her likes and dislikes of foods, nowhere else does this, we know.
Come to find out, two employees of Brunswick Pointe have their loved ones here as well. So I felt like this was a good choice to have Pat live here.
The building is well maintained, laundry and housekeeping department keep up with all tasks at hand, the office crew keeps you well informed of what is going on.
What can I say about the STNAs and Nurses? They are the backbone of Brunswick Pointe. They take all of the tasks on and make it all work well. Some of them make it look so easy.
After 50 years of marriage, we have been through the better and worse, the richer and poorer, and now, in our last stages of life, sickness and health. All I can say when it comes time for me to pick a place to go, it will be Brunswick Pointe. They keep my wife going the best they can and I know between therapy, nursing, and the physicians, they will keep me going too.
